The D’Iberville BBQ Throw-Down & Festival on Saturday, February 23, 2019, includes three different types of cooking contests, plus two ancillary categories. Space is available on a first-come basis. All cook-off teams are required to submit an entry form for the event. Teams may use the following form to apply online. Power is NOT provided and is the sole responsibility of the team. Centralized water hook-ups will be provided throughout the site.
All teams are highly encouraged to submit entries into the Pulled Pork People’s Pick and ancillary Polk’s Sausage categories..
MASTERS CONTEST: Entry includes the 4 main KCBS contest categories (Chicken, Pork Ribs, Pork and Beef Brisket). Teams must enter all 4 categories to be eligible for Grand and Reserve Grand Masters Champion. ENTRY FEE: $250.
BACKYARD CONTEST: Entry includes Chicken and Pork Ribs. Teams must enter both categories to be eligible for Grand and Reserve Grand Backyard Champion. ENTRY FEE: $75.
PIGLET YOUTH CONTEST: For the Piglet (Youth) Pork Chop Cook-off, kids will be separated by ages 6-10 and 11-15. Each child competitor will receive (2) pork chops, handed out at 10:30 AM Saturday at the Town Green Welcome Center. Turn in time 2:00 pm Saturday. ENTRY FEE: $10.
Pulled Pork People’s Pick: A fan favorite is our Pulled Pork People’s Pick. We highly encourage our competitors in all divisions to enter 15-20 lbs. of their best pulled pork. The winner takes home 50% of the People’s Pick ticket sales. Turn in 10:00 am at People’s Pick tent. ENTRY FEE: $10
Ancillary Polk’s Sausage: Each team will receive 2 lbs. Polk’s Smoke Sausage from among 3 assorted varieties to create their best smoked sausage dish. i.e. red beans w/rice, jambalaya, etc. Winner takes all! Turn in 2:00 pm. ENTRY FEE: $20
